Thank you!

Hi everyone! I want to start this post by saying thank you to all the amazing fans and customers of Coconut Bliss, we're having an amazing year that wouldn't be possible without you!
When Vince & I (Kiley) joined the Coconut Bliss family this spring we saw an opportunity with Twitter & Facebook to reach out and connect with all of you and we've been humbled by the response we have received.
A little information about who does what around here; Vince is the primary manager of the Facebook page & I am the primary manager of our Twitter feed. However we both do a little jumping back and forth. Right now I'm also stewarding our fledgling Flickr page. Larry, Vince, and Myself will all be posting content to the blog, but I get to put up the really fun posts-the giveaways!

As I'm at the helm today, there will be a giveaway! To celebrate reaching 2000 followers on Twitter I'm giving away a T-shirt and a free pint to one lucky commenter!

To enter please leave a comment on this post telling us anything that comes to mind; why you love Coconut Bliss, what you would do with a free pint, where you would be rocking your new shirt, or just what the weather is there today! The giveaway will close August 21st at noon PST. Please leave me away to get in touch with you so I can contact you if you'll win.

If you know me from our twitter fan you know I'm a big fan of randomly generated numbers-which is how I'll be picking a winner. I'll add up the number of comments and have a number generated. If you comment is that number you'll be our lucky winner!

A little info on our awesome new shirts-they are printed on 100% organic cotton, & were printed locally here in Eugene! Vince is the handsome man you see modeling our shirt, the other photo shows the back of the shirt.

I also get the privilege of dropping a little hint about why you should come back here in a few days for a very exciting announcement! Let's see, what am I allowed to say today... Well we are going to throw a party.....
So come back in a few days for some more juicy details!

  3. I adore Coconut Bliss. I discovered it in Grants Pass, OR several years ago while visiting my non-veg parents and we were all blown away by how delicious it was.

I have been waiting for Coconut Bliss to come to TN ever since and was thrilled when it finally arrived!

I plan to rock my shirt and eat my pint on one of my vlogs. :)

Huge fan. Keep up the great work!

  4. We are some of your biggest ambassadors in Seattle. My favorite comment came from a friend who has been subjected to all our vegan "non-ice creams." After she tasted Coconut Bliss, she said, "Most of the stuff you feed us is awful. This is just heavenly. I'd even buy it."

  5. We've been huge fans since the beginning. Recently we purchased 2 cases and brought them to our week-long silent meditation retreat. On the next to last day it was put out for everyone. You can't even imagine how incredible it was. Everyone's eyes lit up. Some knew about it and others didn't. No one was able to talk. But their smiles told it all. The next day after we broke silence one woman told me she's vegan and when she saw the "ice cream" her "little kid inside" was sure she'd get left out, as usual. She was so excited when she read the label! It was a great opportunity to practice both generosity and sympathetic JOY! Keep up the great work.

  6. Well, my wife Nikita and I would lay back one evening and listen to some James Taylor by candle light and enjoy a nice pint of Coconut Bliss.

Then I would wear your shirt on my first ever West Coast tour in September throughout Oregon and California and promote your amazing ice cream to all who grooved to the music!!!

Thanks again for the healthy treats and your wonderful energy of joy and celebration!!

  14. "Yes, I would love some of your bliss" Mmmm, the pure delightful taste sensatations that travel through my mouth as a spoonful goes down, lovely enough to uplift my whole day. Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, Naked, Vanilla, Pineapple coconut, capp, cherry ameretto....and the first flavors I ever tried Lavender Blueberry and Maple walnut I remember like it was yesterday. I could rave for days on the magnificence of this dairy-free sugar-free additon to our freezer section!!!!!!!!

  16. I work at PCC Natural Markets in Seattle, WA where I had the opportunity to sample Coconut Bliss early on. I was hooked immediately and have been raving it about to everyone. Being vegan, it is great to have such a delicious non-dairy frozen dessert with so few ingredients. While I would secretly want to horde the entire pint to myself, I just might share it with my sweetie.

I can be reached via Twitter (@cschults).

  17. A pint of Coconut Bliss would be a little trip to heaven, aka back to Eugene! I lived there for four years and recently moved back to the Bay Area, CA, and I miss my college town SO MUCH!

  18. "comment on this post telling us anything that comes to mind; why you love Coconut Bliss, what you would do with a free pint, where you would be rocking your new shirt, or just what the weather is there today!"
You might not want to say "ANYTHING that comes to mind [emphasis mine]" then spammers might win! :)

I'd eat the free pint (Ok maybe I'd share some), rock the shirt... on the rock or out camping, and the weather here is warm but slightly overcast :)

I can be reached via Twitter (@rockgrrl) and I have already been following your account there :)

  19. I live in Eugene and read an article in the RG to the seniors at the retirement center I was formerly employed at. This article led to a discussion of where your product could be found and how potentially delicious it would be. Also, the benefits of supporting local companies was discussed- as the residents grew up in a time when supporting local was more widespread... and even necessary.

I was overworked there- and seldom was able to remember any ideas I had for myself at the end of the day, and since being laid off from said job- I don't indulge too much in *extras* like that...

I would love to try your product- and as for a tee... it would be rocked allover Eugene by myself- and probably my middle school daughter- she is my little coco-NUT!

I went to the website and learned that Fred Meyer and Central Market are two stores in my area that carry it. I just haven't gotten around to trying it yet. But I did become a fan of it on FB, and I would love to follow the blog too. I am thetallamy @ hot male dot com. ha ha ha. From the Seattle area. 25. @mbrooker from twitter here..

lets see.. if i were to win the pint i'd ask you to choose another random number because coconut bliss can't be found in logan utah. :( i could wait till i come home (to eugene) next, but i'd rather make someone else happy and let them enjoy the bliss.

as far as the t-shirt.. well, of course i'd wear it all over logan. try to encourage people to ask about carrying coco bliss in local grocery stores (smiths market (they carry nancy's and emerald valley!) albertsons, maceys) and generally show off coolness from home.

anyhow.. hi to vince from brooke (the short chick from heart of now.. ran into y'all at the million mom march) and chris g.

  28. I just got home from hand surgery and asked my kind Wife to fetch me some Coconut Bliss to help ease the pain and nausea. I love it so much I think it would be my final request on my deathbed!

We are actually a whole family of coconut freaks! We cook with coconut oil too and just recently ordered a 5-gallon tub of the organic stuff because we go through it so fast. Even our baby (who is behind on weight) loves coconut oil on his graham crackers! We also enjoy a coconut beverage that we use in place of milk.

Okay, I should probably be sleeping now instead of typing with one hand. Hopefully, I will wake up to some pain and nausea elimiating Coconut Bliss soon!

  29. @communityoven here in beautiful, sunny Ashland. We've had many, many 100+ degree days here so CB of any flavor is a great way to cool down. We've had the Bliss so long I can remember the delivery coming from Eugene in a freezer unit made of styrofoam coolers and tin foil! Those were the good old days of Maple Walnut which I miss terribly. After my very first bite I was compelled to do the "yummy food dance" in my kitchen and went totally into bliss. That must be why it's called Coconut Bliss. For weeks, I hung out in the freezer aisle recommending it to potential ice cream buyers. A Tshirt will come in handy for promotional purposes.

  40. Coconut Bliss is amazing, and so are all the people who are involved in the company. Equally amazing to me is having these people as part of our regular community, our school, and now, finding the product in stores wherever we go! When the Revolution comes, I know we'll be well taken care of.

  41. Coconut Bliss is my absolute favorite "cold" dessert! I tell everyone I know about it...so, wearing my new Coconut Bliss t-shirt would help me promote this amazing invention. My favorite flavor is the Dark Chocolate...so rich, smooth and simply satisifying!

If I won the coupon, much as I would love to go get myself a pint of Cherry amaretto, Choc PB or Pineapple Coconut (my 3 current faves), I would actually send it to my best friend in Boise as I don't think she has had the pleasure of enjoying it yet and she truly deserves to sit quietly in a nice bubble bath with a spoon and a pint of CB and bliss out!! And I would send my hubby to work in the t-shirt since he works in the library and people are always commenting on every t-shirt he wears...he'd be proud to wear this one!!

  48. I LOVE Coconut Bliss! If I won I'd have to pick up a pint of Vanilla to share with my hubby. He hasn't had the fortune of trying it yet. As for the t-shirt...of course I would sport it. It has a little Ganesh on it! ;)

  52. A short "Hey" from your (unofficial) Central Indiana Coconut Bliss spokeswoman. I've managed to sell all 51 families in our food co-op, my entire extended family, most of our friends, and everyone I talk to at Whole Foods on the amazing treat that is Coconut Bliss. The people behind me in line often LEAVE the line after I've raved about it; no, not to get away from me (LOL!) - they always come back with a pint or two, ready to believe the strange lady who is excitedly babbling about her Coconut Bliss. Due to the almost-constant stock shortage at my local Whole Foods these days, I'm guessing they keep going back for more! I have lots more stories to share, but they'll have to wait for another time. Right now, there's a pint of Mint Galactica just begging for my attention...

  53. I guess I should consider myself lucky to have had Coconut Bliss since even before the Red Barn days. Now I live right next to Capella Market in Eugene and can restock my freezer with Mint Galactica anytime. Good thing, too, cuz my doctor just told me no more dairy. No sweat! Life is bliss.

  65. Who doesn't love Coconut Bliss? I have even gotten people who normally turn their noses up at anything that seems "alternative" especially in regards to dessert and frozen treats to jump on the Coconut Bliss bandwagon.

The first time I had Coconut Bliss was right here in Eugene, OR and it was being sold by the pint at my local Red Barn Grocery. While I miss the funky labeling of those old days, the inside has stayed the same; creamy, cool, and absolutely delicious.

  85. I LOVE you guys!! I am so thankful for your creation of Coconut Bliss. I live in NJ without airconditioning and it has been sweltering hot and humid. There have been days where all I ate was Coconut Bliss. I love that it is dairy and soy free and a low glycemic index by usiing agave sweetener. There are so few products out there that are that pure! And all organic too!! Most of the non-dairy milks I had been using all changed their sweetener from brown rice syrup to evaporated cane juice. Very dissapointing to me... I drink far less of them now.

I love your product and your ethics. You are staying true!! The give away even includes an organic cotton T-shirt. Yes!!! Let's not support any GMO crops.

If I become the random winner I will wear my Coconut Bliss shirt everyewhere! I've already promoted Coconut BLiss on my personal Facebook Page and added your fan page to the favorites for GMO Truth Alliance, which I help run.

It's a well known fact that bloggers love ice cream and we looooooveeeeee writing about it too. ;-D

  93. Huge fan of your ice cream. I am allergic to cane sugar and love that you use agave nectar. And I LOVE that it tastes good. Now just good luck on finding a chocolate flake supplier that doesn't use cane sugar so I can try the chocolate mint chip. Endangered Spp. Choc. uses beet sugar ;) O.k. you don't really have to do that, you have so many other flavors already.

  94. Coconut Bliss is one of the things helping me through these dog days of summer; hot & humid in landlocked western MA, I can dream of coconut palms swaying in an ocean breeze, somewhere... The pint and the shirt will both be much-appreciated when I finally get away to a beach next month!
